A handmade stoneware tea caddy from New York maker Maggy Ames, finished in a light blue glaze with ruffled detailing and two handles. It measures about 25 by 10 by 10 centimetres and holds roughly 50 tea bags, so a whole box fits with room to spare. It suits mums, grandparents and friends who drink tea all day, and works for birthdays, Christmas or a housewarming. It is dishwasher safe, and because each piece is made by hand, no two are quite the same. It looks good enough to leave on the worktop rather than hide in a cupboard.
